Alyse + Anthony Riverlife Wedding | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

Oh how I love a city wedding! Having had a studio in Brisbane for 7 years before moving to Kingscliff I am very familiar with Brisbane and love the CBD feel.

Alyse and Anthony are the most wonderful couple and were so amazing on their wedding day which ended up having a massive storm after their ceremony. Not just rain but a raging storm. Friday afternoon city traffic with this weather event meant that we couldn’t pop over to the city from Kangaroo Point and we had planned to try the ferry but the rain and wind together just proved impossible to deal with.

It takes an incredible woman to deal with this gracefully on her wedding day. The only time Alyse became stressed was being worried about her guests. I’ve shot 100s of weddings and I am sure this was the wettest with limited options of escaping to somewhere else to shoot being a Friday afternoon and tight schedule. But give us a storage room, some love letters and the best group of friends and we were right - not to mention very supportive staff at Riverlife. There was a half hour break in the weather just before sunset and we literally powered through as many options as possible and then entered the reception as the rain came down again for the rest of the night.

Their smiles right into the night were not dampened and it was so beautiful to see.

Bec & Kris Married at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary | Gold Coast Wedding Photographer

What a cool venue to get married! Train rides, wildlife encounters and so much gorgeous green space and we were on a bit of a tight timeline to be able to fit in the beach so I’m sure there would have been so much more to explore.

Bec and Kris also had a really large bridal party. I love the variety you have from being a wedding photographer but a little tip - always make sure you add a little extra time to prep as there are more people that could potentially not be ready on time and just a little extra for your bridal party photos too. It amazing how much extra it can be getting larger groups in and out of cars and organized in the photos themselves.

Here is just a small portion of images from their day before their reception. To click through as full size photos rather than the square previews just click on the first image and use the arrows to move through.

Melinda and Andrew - Tweed Coast Wedding Photographer

Melinda is one of the most beautiful people I know and I am so happy she and Andrew crossed paths and are doing life together. Two amazing people and their little Miss A! I was honored to be able to share their day and capture some special moments along side Tristam. Its always great capturing weddings in our home town but even more special when its close friends. Just a quick selection from their day. Selena x
